Made in Spain Gourmet: Only Gourmet-Quality Products

Made in Spain Gourmet

Marketing pushes you to jump on a trend, but it can also pull you off it. Those of us who have been in the Gourmet business our whole lives must warn and advise people who are attracted to the quality of Spanish gastronomic products. Although the trend to consume gourmet products has been on the rise lately, we need to put the use of the word Gourmet into perspective. Human beings are very comfortable, and when they’re told something is Gourmet, their minds easily place it as something of high value and clearly distinct from the conventional. But no. We believe that word must be respected, nurtured, and given the best possible meaning—the one it deserves—beyond the trivialized sense it has increasingly taken on. For us it means enjoying gastronomy through high-quality products, possibly crafted in an artisanal way by people who respect the territory and traditions. Above all, we aim to spread it to as many people as possible: those who, like us, love gastronomy, who want to learn more and better about our products, and who are both lovers and critics—appreciative of what is excellent and discerning about what is debatable.

Our personal filter: key to offering Gourmet products

Since we set out in 2019 to take Spanish gourmet products to the highest level, we’ve seen that Spain has tremendous potential in this segment. There are a good number of people doing things very well: selecting ingredients exquisitely, following the most exhaustive safety and hygiene measures, and obtaining distinguishing quality certifications. These types of products are made by people with extensive experience, long traditions, and a passion for haute cuisine, which gives them quality and delicacy in their production process. There are also people who have changed their professional projects for the passion that gastronomy brings them, and they are helping to produce higher-quality products that are, above all, better presented. And, in addition to wanting to captivate the domestic market, many are already prepared to make the international leap. But not everything produced earns, for us, the label of Made in Spain Gourmet. Because, in addition to product quality, we must add the quality of the packaging, its storytelling, and the people behind those products. It is when we believe they have met all these requirements that they may be considered for inclusion on our online store platform. That is the common denominator of our partners at MadeinSpain.store: passion, honesty, romanticism, professionalism, territory protection, and a vision for the future. We believe that, through our platform, we can conquer domestic markets, but above all, international ones. Because we bring together gourmands from around the world eager to truly discover the best of our gourmet products, which Xavier Lahuerta, Sveta Krolivetskaya, and I have selected with pride, admiration, and satisfaction.

The international market: much to learn and achieve

One of our most challenging goals is to understand the European market and its end consumer. There is a huge knowledge gap on the part of Spanish companies that produce gourmet products. Why? Because their interlocutor is almost always someone indirect—a distributor, an importer—which means there is no direct connection with the end consumer. And it is precisely this disconnection that we aim to remedy. Through a lot of our own content, written and audiovisual, we will disseminate it until we reach every corner of Europe. Much personalized advising for producers…and for end consumers. For us, that is also Gourmet quality in advisory services. And of course, many more promotional actions directly with end consumers. Because we need to convey our values, our knowledge, and our emotions in a clear and direct way—honestly and very professionally. At Made in Spain Gourmet we facilitate the relationship between Spanish gourmet brands and the discerning consumer, and we guarantee that each has been selected in detail from across Spain under our most exhaustive filters. Because we want to project an image of Spain as “High End.” Without a doubt, tasting a gourmet product is a full sensory experience. Since they are made with care and attention, generally in an artisanal way, they preserve the full flavor of the raw ingredients. When we find them in Spain, there is only one thing we think: we want to share them with the entire Made in Spain Gourmet community, and we hope that community grows bigger and bigger every day. Because Spain deserves it.
