The Plan of Sant Tirs In 1985, the business adventure of Miquel Romeu and his wife, Enriqueta Ferreres, began. The couple often traveled to Ribera de Urgellet, in Pla de Sant Tirs, where they enjoyed the delicious artisan wafers made in the village workshop. Pursuing a romantic dream, they decided to buy that artisan workshop and found Neules Artesanes Sant Tirs. They were clear about their vision: they would modernize the production systems, but remain faithful to the roots of the craft that had captivated them. They would maintain artisan production and the use of natural ingredients, which make these wafers truly unique. The New Stage of Neules Artesanes Sant Tirs In 2002, the company grew so much that a change of location became necessary. Neules Sant Tirs moved to Puig-Reig, in Berguedà (north of Barcelona), where it continues to operate actively to this day. Investment in machinery and increased productivity have gradually made the company larger. Today, the son of Miquel and Enriqueta, Quim, ensures the continuity of the business through his involvement in a project that is no longer just for two. One More Step in Our Growth, 2012 In 2012, Neules Sant Tirs opened its current factory: more space and more technology in facilities that allow it to guarantee the most demanding food certifications.
