Pollen contains a high concentration of proteins, minerals and enzymes that help regulate metabolism. It may help regulate intestinal functions and strengthen the circulatory system, and may offer benefits for intellectual fatigue and liver function, among others. This is the energy and vitality component.
Royal jelly is very rich in proteins and glucose and contains a certain amount of lipids. It may help increase basal metabolism and physical and intellectual performance, help prevent illness and, above all, has bactericidal power. It is a product with great nutritional richness.
Propolis is a product that transfers the active principles of certain plants to humans: antiseptic and antibacterial qualities, and properties that may help reduce blood cholesterol levels, etc. This is the protection component.
USAGE TIPS:
• The bacteriostatic activity of propolis is best expressed at neutral pH, so this honey should not be mixed with very acidic products.
• Royal jelly is heat-sensitive and may lose properties if heated. It is best not to use this honey in a very hot dish.
• The active principles of pollen decrease over time. As this is such a delicate, natural complex that provides plant active principles, it should be used in a way that preserves them and enhances rather than counteracts their effects. It should therefore be mixed with minimally processed foods, without fat or acidity, etc., and added to preparations that can be eaten cold or warm (without overcooking).
USES:
• Add to the dairy products we enjoy every day (yogurt, a glass of milk, cottage cheese, kefir, etc.).
• Drizzle over sliced seasonal fruit, combine on skewers, dissolve in fruit juices (as a sugar substitute), make a natural jam (instant, to be eaten immediately) by mixing puréed fresh fruit and honey, or use it in desserts and sweet recipes.
• Spread on toast for breakfast or an afternoon snack, combined with fresh ingredients such as avocado, fresh cheese, nuts, arugula, etc.
• Use to make granola or a crumble with cereals and nuts. Ideal with dairy or chocolate desserts.
• Drizzle over green, hearty and savory salads containing, for example, anchovies, smoked salmon, nuts, berries, goat cheese.
