Made exclusively with Mencía grapes from goblet-trained vines with an average age of more than 90 years. Located around the village of Otero de Toral, on slopes at altitude. 500-600 meters above sea level. Cultivated by the family for more than 3 generations. Traditional winemaking with maceration at 16-18 degrees in a 10,000-liter stainless steel tank for 3-4 days. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation from day 5. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tank.
Vineyards
Small plots with an average age of over 90 years. Sustainable artisanal farming with the utmost respect for the environment. Hand-harvested in 18-20 kilo crates.
Soils
Clay, sand, slate and pebbles. Undergrowth, wild flowers and aromatic plants.
Aging
3 months in used 225-liter French oak barrels. Rested for 8-10 months in stainless steel tank before bottling. Bottle-aged for at least 6 months.

Appearance:
Bright cherry-red color with violet highlights, clean and medium-bodied in appearance. Its youth is reflected in the vibrancy of the color.
Nose:
Intense, fresh aromas of red fruits (raspberry, cherry, redcurrant), with subtle floral notes (violet) and a mineral backdrop typical of the Bierzo terroir. Very clean and expressive.
Palate:
Soft, light entry, with lively acidity that enhances its freshness. Very fine, well-integrated tannins. Reminiscent of forest fruits at just the right point of ripeness. Medium finish with fruity persistence.
