Aphrodisiaque Almázcara Majara: the wine for young people.
This line of wines was created to introduce younger consumers to quality wine. And so L’Aphrodisiaque was born: a family of young wines inspired by what they believed young people were looking for—experiences rather than specific products.

Winemaking: Made with Mencía and Godello grapes from their vineyard located in Los Barrios, in the Bierzo wine region, an area with characteristics that differ from other parts of the district. As a result, its wines are also distinctive, while still representing part of their terroir. From alluvial soils, the 80- to 120-year-old vines are shaped by a continental Mediterranean climate which, together with an average altitude of 550 meters, gives the wine a pronounced aromatic character.
Pairing: at Made in Spain Gourmet, we recommend it well chilled for appetizers and tapas.
These wines are made with great care to offer color, aroma, and palate appeal capable of delighting and captivating less experienced wine lovers who are eager to share a glass with friends. They are also wines that can win over the most knowledgeable drinkers for specific moments of enjoyment. What drives Almázcara Majara is the pursuit of friendship and unforgettable shared moments, and they could not allow younger generations to miss out. They want to share the secret of happiness; they have never been selfish.
D.O. Bierzo (Designation of Origin)
The Bierzo region is located in the northwest of the province of León, within the Autonomous Community of Castile and León, and covers an area of 2,954.28 kilometers, representing 18% of the provincial surface area. Geographically, it borders the provinces of Ourense, Lugo, and Asturias and serves as a communication hub between Galicia, León, and Asturias. It has a distinctive Mediterranean microclimate, with milder temperatures than neighboring areas, and its low altitude generally prevents late frosts, which is highly favorable for the grape harvest, usually taking place one month earlier than in the rest of Castile and La Rioja.
Extreme temperatures occur in winter and summer, with an average of 12.3ºC, minimum averages of 3.6º in the cold months, and highs of 23.6º in the warmest months.
Rainfall is around 721 mm in an average year. Average annual sunshine is estimated at 2,100 to 2,200 hours throughout the year.
In El Bierzo, vineyards are primarily planted on moist brown earth soils, slightly acidic and therefore free of carbonates, typical of humid climates.
The acidity level ranges from 4 to 8.5; in the valleys, values above 6 predominate.
The key quality factors are found on gently sloping terraces where vineyards lie very close to the rivers, on semi-terraced hillsides, or in steeply sloped vineyards at altitudes between 450 and 1,000 meters.
