Black Olives from Aragón, Romanico
Romanico Black Olives from Aragón are one of the most iconic varieties in Spanish cuisine. They come from ripe olives cured using traditional methods, which enhances their deep, balanced, slightly sweet flavor. Their texture is tender yet firm, with a smooth skin and flesh that melts easily, leaving an elegant, lingering finish.

This type of olive, highly prized in Aragón and throughout northeastern Spain, is perfect for anyone seeking an authentic flavor, without excessive seasonings or preservatives that would alter its essence. At Made in Spain Store, we often recommend it to customers looking for a product with character and tradition.

If you need guidance on how to incorporate them into your meals or what to pair them with, count on us. We are here to help you always choose the best for your kitchen and your special moments.

More information about Novacoop

El Molí d’Alcanó, part of Grup Cooperatiu Fruits de Ponent, keeps the cooperative spirit intact, understood as the combined efforts of its members and farmers in order to offer the best services and quality products. El Molí, which is part of Cooperativa Camp d’Alcarràs, means that all the oils it produces are superior-category extra virgin olive oils.

Molí d’Alcanó was created in 2015 as a result of the absorption of Cooperativa d’Alcanó by Cooperativa Camp d’Alcarràs i Secció de Crèdit SCCL, as part of an inter-cooperative initiative aimed at ensuring the future viability and sustainability of this infrastructure, as well as that of its members and families. Since then, Camp d’Alcarràs i Secció de Crèdit has renovated and modernized the facilities located in the village of Alcanó itself, with the aim of turning the olive mill into a benchmark for sustainability. Camp d’Alcarràs i Secció de Crèdit SCCL has a social network of around 180 member family units. As regards the olive-growing section, it is a cooperative with 75 years of history spanning different agriculture-based business areas: fruit, nuts, cereals, and olive oil. Its fundamental principle is the ability to serve its members and safeguard the future viability of their businesses.

The land

The earlier generation of farmer members passed on to today’s members their love for the land, a land of olive and almond trees, the area’s typical crops. Product quality and excellence are two constants at El Molí, as is sustainability, understood as caring for the fields and the fruit, as well as the entire production process.

The olives come from Alcanó and other municipalities in Segrià, such as Sunyer, Alcarràs, and Torres de Segre. This geographical diversity translates into a unique palette of flavors, reflecting the diversity and richness of the land of Ponent. Every drop of olive oil from this mill is a testament to the unity of the region and its commitment to sustainability.

At El Molí d’Alcanó, sustainability is not just a word, but a path in harmony with its spirit and its community. It is a story of innovation, unity, and love for the land. El Molí d’Alcanó is more than a mill; it is a guardian watching over the future of Ponent, a future built on ecological foundations, justice, and community.
