Casa Riera Ordeix
Casa Riera Ordeix was founded in 1852 by Josep Riera Font in the Plana de Vic region of Osona.
The story of Casa Riera Ordeix spans six generations driven by the desire to do things with passion, respect, and loyalty to their roots.
It is a way of working begun by the distinguished Vic native Josep Riera i Font and continued and expanded by his son, Pau Riera Ordeix.
Sixteen decades after its founding, Casa Riera Ordeix’s headquarters remain at Plaça dels Màrtirs, number 14, in Vic. At Casa Riera Ordeix, the same product is still made by the same family, in the same way and with the same obsession: quality.
The selection of the finest ingredients, natural curing, and knowledge passed down from generation to generation have given Casa Riera Ordeix’s Salchichón de Vic a unique and exceptional bouquet that crosses borders.
It has done so as an ambassador for the city of Vic and the entire Plana region. Casa Riera Ordeix’s Salchichón de Vic has held Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status since 2002.
Salchichón de Vic, together with Truffled Salchichón, Payés Salchichón, and Fuet de Vic, makes up their product range. Four products recognized anywhere in the world by their aroma, texture, and flavor.
