Mackerel roe is surrounded by a fine, soft natural membrane. It has a light whitish-yellow color, with an intense aroma characteristic of oily fish and a smooth, pleasant flavor distinctive of mackerel. Its texture is grainy and bathed in olive oil.

It has a high concentration of iron, calcium, protein and vitamins. It is one of the best sources of omega-3. More than 30% of the fatty acids detected in the roe were EPA and DHA.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
