Storage of Kenyan Star Coffee

To enjoy Kenyan Star coffee at its freshest and finest, it is important to follow proper storage practices. Here are some key tips to preserve all its aromas and flavors:

  1. Store in a cool, dry place Keep your coffee in a dark place, away from direct light, moisture and heat sources. The ideal temperature for maintaining coffee freshness is between 10-20°C.
  2. Airtight container Use an airtight container, such as a glass jar or a vacuum-sealed bag, to prevent air and moisture from altering the flavor. This step is crucial to preserve the natural oils and prevent the coffee from quickly losing its freshness.
  3. Avoid refrigeration and freezing Although some people choose to refrigerate or freeze coffee, it is not recommended, as these processes can alter its flavor profile by absorbing odors and moisture. It is best to keep the coffee in its original state at room temperature, in a place without extreme temperature fluctuations.
  4. Do not grind too much Whole-bean coffee preserves its natural oils and freshness longer than ground coffee. If possible, grind only the amount you need for each preparation. Ground coffee quickly loses its properties and flavor after being ground.
  5. Best consumed by Although coffee can remain in good condition for some time, we recommend enjoying it at its best, ideally between 3 and 6 months after purchase, to make the most of its freshness and complex flavors.

By following these simple steps, you can enjoy a Kenyan Star that is always fresh and full of the vibrant acidity and deep chocolate flavor that characterize it.
