The gastronomy of Ciudad Real reflects the richness of the land and the culinary traditions of the region. This province, which is part of the famous "La Mancha" of Don Quixote, offers a variety of dishes and native products that are very representative of Manchegan cuisine. Manchego cheese The Manchego cheese is one of the best-known products of Ciudad Real’s gastronomy and of all Castile-La Mancha. Made from the milk of Manchega sheep, this cheese is famous for its strong, aged flavor. It comes in various forms, from fresh to cured, and can be enjoyed with quince paste (membrillo) or bread.
