Our February Essentials

Our Essentials of the Month

We are in the last month of winter, and we tend to go out less these months, but don’t forget that Spanish gastronomy should be enjoyed all year long. Because if, in addition to being in good company, we can create a gastronomic moment to accompany it, life is happier. For this February we want to recommend the best Mediterranean potato chips from Sal de Ibiza, an extra virgin olive oil made with a Greek variety established in Seville, the pasta range from a brand with more than 325 years of history, and the new raspberry jam from one of the new brands, Can Bech, that have joined our Made in Spain Gourmet family. A country as rich and varied as Spain is unique — there is no other like it. That is why our mission is to share it with all of you and show you why our gastronomy generates so much happiness and is the perfect excuse to share life with more people, whoever you want. Where will you find this premium range all in one store? That’s right — only here. Here are the February 2025 Essentials of the Month. Enjoy them!! Because Made in Spain means Quality. Patatas Chips de Sal de Ibiza

The Chips Sal de Ibiza are crispy and delicious gourmet potato chips, made with high-quality ingredients. They are characterized by being seasoned with the exclusive Sal de Ibiza, a 100% natural sea salt harvested on the island of Ibiza and sun-dried, with no additives or preservatives. They are handcrafted, being slowly fried in sunflower oil to achieve a crunchy, golden texture. Sal de Ibiza enhances the natural potato flavor, adding a subtle and balanced touch with a unique taste. The ingredients are of the highest quality: selected potatoes, sunflower oil, and pure sea salt. They come in an attractive turquoise-toned packaging, distinctive of the brand — a premium presentation as they deserve. These chips are perfect to enjoy as an appetizer or a side, with a flavor that evokes the freshness of the Mediterranean. On our website you’ll find up to 4 products: Flor de Sal, Salt & Vinegar, Paprika, and White Truffle.

Pastes Sanmartí

Pastes Sanmartí is a family-run company from Caldes de Montbui, with more than 300 years of history in handcrafted pasta production. Since 1700, nine generations have kept this tradition alive, using premium durum wheat semolina and thermal water from Caldes de Montbui as the main ingredients. The pasta is made following traditional methods, including a drying process in wooden cabinets for 48 hours, which gives it a unique texture and flavor. Only durum wheat semolina and thermal water from Caldes de Montbui are used, with no additives or preservatives. Among the different pasta types are varieties such as squid-ink spaghetti, fideuá noodles, and vegetable spirals. The combination of quality ingredients, the use of thermal water, and a careful production process make Pastes Sanmartí recognized for their excellence and authentic taste.

Aceite de Oliva Virgen Extra Koroneiki, Isbilya

The Koroneiki Isbilya is a high-quality single-varietal extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), produced exclusively from Koroneiki olives, a variety originating in Greece. This variety is renowned for producing intense and powerful oils with a distinctive personality. The olives are harvested in mid-October and cold-pressed within two hours of harvest, preserving their organoleptic properties and nutrients. On the nose it presents high fruity intensity with green notes, combining hints of leaf and freshly cut grass. On the palate, it shows a balanced bitterness and pungency, with flavors of nuts, especially walnut, and vegetal notes, finishing with a persistent aftertaste. Ideal for consuming raw, enhancing bold dishes like Iberian meats, salmorejo, or grilled octopus. It is also perfect for dressing green salads and steamed vegetables, adding depth and complexity to preparations.

The consumption of this fruit is recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women, athletes, or people who suffer from stress. Raspberries, along with blackberries and blueberries, are the fruits most commonly used in Northern Europe for jam making. Ideal to combine with dairy, fresh fruit, and in the preparation of cakes and desserts. It is perfect to accompany a New York–style cheesecake. This preserve stands out for its balance between sweetness and the natural tartness of the raspberries, offering a gourmet experience in every bite.
