We are used to dealing with long-established brands, but Pastes Sanmartí deserves a tribute as it celebrates no less than 325 years in 2025. Congratulations! They were pioneers in pasta production. Located in Caldes de Montbui, Barcelona, they make their pastas with top-quality durum wheat semolina and the touch of thermal water from Caldes de Montbui — and nothing else!

The secret of good pasta

Sanmartí pasta, from 1700, passed down from generation to generation (now nine), has always been made in a traditional artisanal way, something non-negotiable even while maintaining the costly production and drying process. The Sanmartí family describe themselves as fideuers (semoleros — semolina specialists), that is, absolute experts in pasta making.
