Vins El Cep, first winery to produce Cava entirely in-house

Vins El Cep

Their commitment to the territory and love of excellence, a philosophy we share at Made in Spain Gourmet The choice of Vins El Cep to become part of our family at Made in Spain Gourmet was thanks to our sommelier and wine connoisseur, Zoltan Nagy. As early as 2019 he ventured that the wines and cavas from this brand, led by its General Manager, Maite Esteve, were at a much higher level than most being sold in Spain. A biennial event where we bring together people from our Romero community (more than 80% of international origin residing in Spain). There we realized it would be one of our partners in Made in Spain Gourmet. Vins El Cep is committed to the territory, to the uniqueness of each vineyard and to fully in-house production, reaffirming these as very important values for them. I want to highlight the fact that they have become the first wineries to fully produce within the DO Cava. It is very important for all buyers to know the seal that certifies the cava has been 100% vinified at their winery and its origin. Thanks to this, this year they have continued expanding their range of single-vineyard wines with a Red Xarel·lo (the Clot del Roure Brisat). Among the recognitions in 2022, I want to highlight a special mention from Decanter as Best Biodynamic Cava of 2022 with the Claror de Paraje Calificado Can Prats. One of our bets for the international market due to the excellence of this product. Today, with a broader market perspective, we have already convinced customers in more than 10 European countries who have discovered their cavas and wines thanks to our online gourmet store. This feeling of growing together is very positive and helps us commit even more to our country. We can say that Spain is the best country in the world gastronomically. Because we believe it, not because we are paid to say it.
